Setting Goals...

First of all, welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy reading it. Goals, Goals, Goals.... are very important for any serious poker player. Latley, I have started having moderate success in MTT's. However, I am shifting my attention to cash game play. In the past month or two, I have been playing a ton of cash games. I improve everytime, learn from my mistakes, and go from there. I have been a member of Cardrunners since the month of December. This site has been very instrumental in the development of my poker game skills in general. Excellent investment for anyone interested in the game. Anyways, I have made up my mind to start over. I am going to be starting at .25/.50 NL. In this blog, I will be starting with $800.

Goal #1 - Play 10,000 hands of .25/.50 NL and average 10 bb/100. Aim to profit around $1000. (Today I figured that if I 5 table, I can play an average of about 90 hands per hour on one table. Multiply this by 5, and you get 450 hands per hour. So essentially, it will take me approximately 22 hours to complete this goal. I feel I can obtain the rating of 10 bb/100 at this low of cash games level. (10,000 hands / 100 BB = 100 BB * 10 bb/100 = $1000 profit)

Goal #2 - If goal #1 is met, continue playing these stakes until you have obtained $2500. This means I would need a profit of approximatly $700. So I will have to play an additional 7,000 hands of these stakes.

Goal #3 - Play 10,000 hands of .50/1 NL. Average 10 bb/100 and profit around $2000. If goal is met, I will have a firm bankroll of about $4500.

............. I have 10 goals listed. These will by far be the hardest for me to accomplish. I'm not even going to list the additional 7 until after I complete the first three. Believe me, I will accomplish those three goals. Check for updates daily .
