Day 64

I played a decent amount of 5/10 today. I did okay. I was up a lot more, but towards the end I ran into some tricky spots and situations against other deepstacks where I was forced to fold without showdowns for pretty big pots. Overall, the day was good for me though.

Day 62-63

I have played A LOT of 5/10 NL the past 2 days. Although not sure on exact amount, I'd venture to say at minimum 5,000 hands. I've been running about break-even. Saturday I lost about 2 buyins. Sunday morning I lost 3 buyins rather quickly. I couldn't play most of the afternoon due to family commitments. Then Sunday night I played 9 tables for about 4 hours. I lost a quick 4 buyins (at least this many, I don't check the cashier during the sessions (I checked it once about 2 hours in and I was down like 2 buyins, but I know I was down a lot more than that, so I'll say I was down 4 buyins, for a total of 7 buyins on Sunday.) However, I didn't tilt much, just kept playing solid poker, and eventaully rallied and won 8 buyins over the last 1.5 hours probably.

Day 35 - Day 61

yeah, I haven't updated in like one month, lol. that's basically because nothing was really happening. I was basically breaking even. I went on a pretty big downswing. I was up to about 27,000 and then went on about a -12,000 downswing. Oh well. I was just so fed up after that downswing. I decided to break from poker for about three days. I even went to the extremes of getting so frustrated that I just cashed out every dime on pokerstars. I went to partypoker and hated that site with a passion. I also tried out some FTP, but in the end, my only love was pokerstars. So I emailed them and luckily they was able to increase my deposit limit to 10,000. I decided I would put 8,000 of my roll back on pokerstars on August 7th, and play absolutley nothing besides 2/4 NL. I did very well, and by about august 21st, I had my pokerstars roll up to about 23,000. I continued to play 2/4 NL and it mellowed down to about a 20k roll. I felt confident that I should try out 5/10 NL again. I started 9 tabling on pokerstars the other day (probably not a great idea with just 20k on the site), and soon my roll was down to about 17k after some bad beats/tricky situations, but by the end of the night (prolly 4 hour session), my roll was up to about 25k. Since, it has grown to about 28k over the past few days. Please don't confuse this bankroll with the bankroll that I was tracking on this site. It's not the same amounts. However, I have good news and it's that I've been keeping track of the bankroll I was keeping track of on here for the first 25 days. I will just add to it here and combine all them days into one day.

Amount Won past 26 days: +18,167

Total Amount won: 36,257

One thing I didn't realize when I ran horribly was the fact that I had soooooo many days to recover. I just felt so stuck and that I would never recover. I'm glad I was still keeping track of my stats tho, so that way I won't look like a complete failure, lol. thanks for readin....

aruba!

Well I'm sorta on top of the world in my poker career right about now. Last night I finished top 10 in the 1k super mega satty for aruba. I qaulifed for this event through the 100 dollar buyin. So, yeah, I'll be enjoying the scenes of Aruba! It's really an AMAZING feeling to get after winning a satellite like this. No other feelings really matched how I felt last night. It was just an incredible experience. On top of that, I felt I Played the BEST mtt poker in my entire career. Usually when I place good in MTT's, I just have a big enough stack that I can cruise to the final table. Last night, there was none of that; for really nobody. Everyone from about 40 out was fairly even in chips. EVERYONE had to play perfect poker or you just had no chance. There was absolutly no 'cruise control' winners. You had to steal in position, reshove from blinds when you thought button or cutoff were stealing. You just had to play smart and accordingly to your M factor. M is something I use a lot in situations like this. I think it's even more valuble on UB cause I feel they have by far the best structure that matches skill. On pokerstars, it's way more of a 'krapshoot', but on UB I feel the 'skilled' players will prevail most of the time.

Anyways, I was doing the challenge. However, I went on about a 12,000 dollar downswing that hurt so bad. I just had no desire to update my challenge. However, I'm still keeping track of my BR and stuff, and I'm on about a 6-7k upswing at 2/4 NL. (I took a few days off and stepped back down to 2/4 NL. Havne't had the desire to step back in 5/10 NL. Who knows, maybe I never will. I'm really satisfied with what i can make at 2/4 NL. 30k hands and I"m running at 7 bb/100 for that level. That's good money IMO).

So anyways, if I feel like I have a legitimate shot to reach my goal, I may start blogging it and count the days back until now, and go from there. I'm just so pumped right now that it's hard to describe in words. Also, if I count this 10k package as part of my BR it's the highest my BR has ever been in my history of poker. So things are really on the up, up for me which is AWESOME! Cheers.
