today was decent. I played 2/4 NL. I probably won like 1k at 2/4 on stars. But I spent like 300 in some 30 rebuy for WCOOP seat, then 80 in 20rebuy, then 162 on stars, and 162 on party, and 109 on UB which i got 7th good for about 1000. But overall I had a decent profit. so I will take that!

pure grind

Today I just straight up grinded for a long time. Probably about 4-5 hours straight. The results were so-so, decent. But I mean, I got up about 3k, then went down 5k, then ended up finishing like on 4.5k upswing, so I made like 1500 all toghether or so, then entered Party 200k, which I shouldn't have, cause I'm very tired, and was out within first 1/2 hour. AA < JT. partypoker is full of a bunch of retards anyways. so many tournament players are just so clueless about poker it isn't even funny. Actually it is. w/e, enough ranting.

Anyways, I for a good hour or two, I was getting some unreal bad luck. BUT, I think today I did an AWESOME job of making some critical laydowns, TOUGH laydowns, that I feel saved me a ton of money. The laydowns I wouldn't or couldn't used to laydown. The ones where you think you might be beat, but you call anyways to make sure. Yeah, well I folded them today. I mean, I think I've just played so much cash games lately, that I just know when something unusual is up.

I dunno, I just try to remember "MAXIMIZE profits when running good, MINIMIZE losses when running bad!"

- If you can do that, and not tilt, then you can win a lot of extra money in the LONGRUN. It won't be so present at short-term, but longterm, it's pretty significant.

30 days in the books. That means, after 30 days, in order to be on pace to hit my goal of 50k in 100 days, I should be up 15k right now. So, I'm slightly ahead of schedule, which is promising. I think if I stick with 2/4 NL, I should reach it pretty easy. I have an unreal amount of comfort at 2/4 NL after playing 5/10 NL, which could be bad, but I think it'll be good in the longrun. later

DAY 29

Today I did what it takes to become one of the best. After a terrible day at 5/10 NL the other day, I became flustered. I think at this point, the majority would of kept losing more at 5/10 due to lack of confidence/tilt, or moved up to 10/20 or 25/50 to try to "chase losses". I, on the other hand, felt the smartest thing possible was to simply move back down to 2/4 NL.

2/4 NL just seems so much easier to me at this moment. Sure, I had my fair share of bad beats tonight, but there's such a large amount of shitty players who will pay you off large amounts of money with them holding pretty weak hands. So you just gotta take advantage of it. The results prove that I didn't win big or anything tonight, but what they don't prove is that I gained a ton of confidence back.

5/10 NL is so much harder. I really don't feel like I'm ready for that game. You gotta be almost "dead-on" or "perfect" with your bets in order to stack players. You just gotta "know" how to handle situations when you flop huge hands. Gotta be able to disguise well. Which I can do decently, but w/e. enough of that BS.

In closing, I plan on staying at 2/4 NL for awhile. Maybe as much as 20k-30k hands at this level. I think I could make around 10k if I do 25k hands at 2/4 NL. we'll see. I'll continue to play MTT's whenever time allows, so I never know when I'll score nicely in one of those.

Poker is a crazy games, filled with a ton of loopholes and obstacles. Learn to never get "down" about losing money you've won. I mean, if it wasn't for poker, you wouldn't have it anyways. Realize, that if everyone won, all the time, poker wouldn't exist. OBV.....

my internet is fucking horrible! (DAY 26)

usually I got good connection, but occassionally I get internet the speed of a fuckin turtle. it's so bad. And what makes it worse is the fact that it fuckin pisses me off so bad that I start tilting. I start getting pissed staring at 8 tables with no motion on them and blinking back at me for intervals of 10-15 seconds, then movement for 10-15 seconds, repeatedly. Sooo, I said fuck it, and decided to end my session early. I started off bad, and never had anytime to recover really because I would of just lost more because of my internet being so horrible. Owell, today's loss was pretty standard so I won't worry about it.

Okay, today was day 26. In order to complete this goal, I need to be earning 5k dollars every 10 days. Or 2.5k every 5 days. That means that in order to be on pace with this goal, I should have earned about 12.5k so far. This means I'm way ahead of schedule. However, this goal has been going so well, so far, that I wouldn't mind hitting 50k in 5o days, BUT the last thing I want to do is put too much pressure on myself. today was just another grinding day. managed to 8 table 5/10 NL about 2 hours on pstars. at the beginning I ran like shit, prolly down 3-4k at one point. however, I turned it around later and finally started winning some big pots and finished up about 1600 so I will take it. oh i did manage to hit a royal flush and get a 2k pot out of it so that was pretty fun and exciting!

got deep in party friday special. was chip leader with about 70 left until some donk literally fucked up my world. had 120k chips. raised EP with AQo. Everyone folded to BB, who called. Flop came As3x4s. The guy decides to push all in for 45k more. Blinds 1.5k/3k. I call. What's he have? Js8s. I could not beleive it. Risked his whole stack on fuckin flush draw. And obviously he hit it on the river. that's party for you. then I worked back up to about 70k chips. I find TT in MP. Guy before me makes standard raise, I decide to just push. Today was pretty crazy. I swung up and down crazily. I was up 3k, down 3k, even, you name it, I was there. I thought I played good, but I'd just get screwed for huge pots a lot. I did very well today. I only played for one hour, but despite that, I ran very well and got paid off too. I also had this one guy WAY off his game after I took a couple thousand off of him. Overall, it was a fun night. I hope to continue the success!

Good Day/ Better Day (DAY 13)

I still didn't get to play too much today, but I felt I did a lot better. I suffered a 2k pot loss to B Buddy. Basically he was UTG. I was UTG+1. He limped. I bumped to 50. Got one caller, button. And B Buddy calls. Flop came like 4c5xAc.

B Buddy check. I bet 100. Button folds. B Buddy raises to 500. Now this looked like a bluff with outs to me. It looked like he had some type of draw, and wanted the pot right then and now. So I decided that I was probably ahead, and pushed for all my chips, and he called. he ended up having 67c and he got there on the river. But i mean, he had a solid hand/flop. I don't mind really getting beat by a straight-flush draw in this situation. I was happy that I read him right. And now I know more about him as a player for the future too. So despite that 2k pot loss, I made a nice profit for the day.

DAY 10

Well since I scored big the other night, I decided to just try 5/10 NL to see how it goes since my overall BR was hovering above 25k so I was bankrolled pretty good for it.

And honestly, I think it's easier to stack people at 5/10 NL than 2/4 NL so far. I only played for one hour tonight (if that), but I felt I Played pretty good overall and made a nice profit as well. It was fun, and I 6 tabled so that seemed to work well too. I also played 9 seaters on 4 of the tables (really it wasn't too much different. I tiightend up a lil bit, but played pretty much same style as on 6 max.

I've been real busy working (bale hay baby!), so I haven't gotten to play much at all recently and probably for two or three more weeks. Oh well, it's kinda nice getting a break from online poker once in awhile anyways.

I really wasn't feeling it much for cash games tonight/today. I actually had the time to play MTT's tonight, so I did. And did is right. I ended up finding gold in the stars 150 and took 3rd for just over 7k. This is my biggest MTT cash to date. And it feels great! I joined PokerXFactor today as well, and I put the whole tournament in their cool software thingy that replays it. pretty cool stuff. Anyways, this cash will really boost my challenge. Man I'm just so pumped ! ! !

Well, today went pretty good. One thing is for certain, I feel MUCH more comfortable playing at the 2/4 NL level. I didn't do too bad today, although I hardly even played. I did earn enough FPP points (59k), to get a Sharp 26" LCD Widescreen TV. So, that should be cool to get.. for free!..... well kinda. Anyways, one week is in the books, and I feel pretty good about how it went.

Also, I played the 10 rebuy tonight and quit within 30 mintues after wasting 100 bucks or so... heh, I just hate tournaments recently. They aren't my thing when I'm doing well in cash games. They just feel like a waste of time to me. so, I'll probably continue to put them on hold for awhile...

well, i started off great, but then ended so terrible. i moved up and played some 5/10 NL aloong with 3/6 and 2/4 all at the same time. at one point in my session, I was up 5k. however, all hell began breaking loose and lee jones decided to unleash his lethal spell on me.... here's one hand that really fucked me hard... sooo, I have decided to do this. I stepped up to 5/10 NL today. However, I really don't feel comfortable losing 2-3k pots just yet. THEREFORE, I WILL PLAY 30k MORE HANDS OF 2/4 NL BEFORE MOVING UP TO 5/10 NL. If I step foot in a 5/10 NL game before the 30k hand goal is up, not only will it be a dissappointment to myself, but also to you guys. therefore, my pokertracker currently has 20k hands of 2/4 NL stored on it. When it hits 50k hands, I will have completed my mission of 30k hands of 2/4 NL. This should be fun, and during these 30k hands, I expect to make around 12,000 at 5 bb/100.
